About Annie

  Annie Schulenburg is a professionally certified music educator with a certification in Kodaly methodology and a Masters of Music in Vocal Pedagogy concentrating in Vocal Performance. She teaches middle school music full-time in Paterson NJ along with private singing and beginner piano lessons out of her home in Millington, NJ.

        Annie Schulenburg is a professionally certified music educator with a certification in Kodaly methodology and a Masters of Music in Vocal Pedagogy concentrating in Vocal Performance. She graduated from Bucknell University with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education where she studied conducting under Dr. William Payn and performed with the Bucknell Opera Company. After graduating, she went to The Boston Conservatory to earn her masters, where she studied vocal anatomy and function to sing and teach with the healthiest and most effective techniques. While in Boston, Annie performed professionally and taught for the non-profit choral organization Boston City Singers and The Performing Arts Connection. Her love for the classroom and desire to be closer to family brought her to New York City.

 

        In NYC, Annie has performed with the Os Ensemble, a group of young professionals performing new operas and experimental works, and Street Ready, a contemporary A Cappella group. She served as guest clinician conductor for the PMEA District 8 Children's Chorus in 2019 and enjoys singing with her students everyday. She has also taught private Voice Lessons throughout the last 13 years to a variety of ages and skill levels.
